Three sliding heads for self-centering requested in pipes threading.
The 3RP series is perfectly suitable for all types of threading and cold forming on cylindrical components according to all the standards (ISO , ACME , TPN, WORM SCREWS, etc.). It is equipped with three rolling spindles driven by directly connected brushless motors. The 3RP series individualize three movable heads and it is ideal for working on tubes with a minimum diameter of Ø=6.35 mm to a maximum diameter of Ø=300 mm. Its pressing force is ranging from 100 kN to 1500 kN.

The 3RP model has been developed to allow fast and precise plunge and throughfeed rolling operations on both hollow and solid components with large diameters and it can be equipped with PLC or CNC control unit.

The machine’s base geometry has been designed with the use of FEM calculation system, and is thus characterized by high strength and rigidity. Therefore it gives almost complete reduction of bending even of the most stubborn burrs.

Automatic adjustment of swivel angle - optional 自动调整旋转角度
The thread rolling machine can be equipped with heads inclination system for heads angles’adjustment (necessary for throughfeed rolling) managed directly from the Operating Panel using a motorized movement. Once saved, the position can be easily recalled at any time when launching a new production of the same workpiece. The system uses a hydraulic lock which keeps blocked the heads in working conditions and unlocks them when the inclination adjustment is requested.

In order to meet this request, MICO s.r.l. has developed and patented a new technology solution for the hydraulic system - capable to dramatically reduce the energy consumption of thread rolling machines.

MICO s.r.l.- ORT Italia has developed a technical solution that enables the automatic dies match research.

During working process, both infeed or throughfeed with helicoidal profiled dies, it is necessary to reciprocally position the three dies. This operation, traditionally performed manually by the operator, can today be done in a simple, fast and automatic way thanks to the solution studied and realized by ORT Italia.
